# Custom Avatar Creation Pricing

> Included Avatar Creations, extra creation packs, and how creation billing works.

Custom avatar creation uses **Avatar Creations**, not the credits consumed by realtime avatar usage or video generation. Creating an Avatar and using it are separate charges.

All prices are in USD; pricing and limits may change during beta.

  Custom avatar slots are unlimited on paid plans during beta. Slots are not Avatar Creations: unlimited slots do not remove the creation allowances or extra creation charges.

Purchase extra Avatar Creations when you need more than your plan includes.

## API billing

Each Avatar API creation job reserves one Avatar Creation when accepted. The reservation is captured when preprocessing completes and released if the job fails before that point. An insufficient balance returns `402` with `insufficient_avatar_units`.
